    Here you can develop yourself in yeast baking, cookies, party cakes, marzipan work and chocolate decorations. The line is for beginners to advanced.

    Delicious yeast baking and great cakes!

    This is the line for anyone who wants to please themselves and others with delicious yeast baking or great party cakes!

    You get an introduction to the baking and pastry profession. Some of the things we will work on are:

    You will get small and large challenges along the way as well as exciting project tasks. Linja is responsible for preparing cakes for events at the school

    Remember that Karmøy Folkehøgskule is the school where you choose 2 subjecs. This means that if you choose the line Baker & Confectionist - you choose one of these lines in addition: Focus Asia - Action & Adventure - Backpack Photo Asia - Norwegian Culture Food & Language  - Multisport - Vocal & Performance - Golf - Focus Europa - Tasty Food

    Da vi har spennende utenlandsturer på begge linjene du som elev går på, har vi valgt å legge fellesturene til vakre og spennende omgivelser i Norge. Vi arrangerer blant annet en super tur til Preikestolen utenfor Stavanger.

    Foruten flere fellesturer setter vi også av tid til fellesarrangementer som:

    • konserter
    • kinoforestillinger
    • seminar
    • foredrag

    Alle elevene ved Karmøy Folkehøgskole deltar på minst 2 utenlandsturer gjennom sine 2 linjer. Enkelte elever deltar på opptil 4 utlandsturer avhengig av hvilke linjer de har valgt. Derfor har vi lagt opp til en kortere felles skoletur til Preikestolen og Stavanger. Skolen ønsker også at våre elever får delta på lokale kulturelle arrangement i skolens nærmiljø, dvs på Haugalandet. Dette er for eksempel spennende konserter, kinoforestillinger, teater og byvandring.

    Programs choose 1:

    • Focus Europe including an interrail trip and visiting different island in Norway and the Adriatic
    • Energyboost including a trip to Brazil, Argentina & Paraguay
    • Outdoor-activity Sea (Friluftsliv Sjø in Norwegian) including a trip to Croatia with diving classes and island hopping with 2 sailboats
    • BRO Africa including a trip to Kenya or Tanzania
    • BRO South America including a trip to Brazil, Argentina & Paraguay
    • Bakery & Pastry (Baker & Konditor in Norwegian) including a trip to Paris and Brussel
    • Football Europe Inkluding a trip to England and Italy
    • Fashion Clothes Design/Redesign including a trip to London and Paris
    • Resit a subject/exam

    BRO is the shortness of the Norwegian words Bistand-Reise-Oppdrag. They can direct translate to Aid, Travel and Assignment.

    • Focus Asia & Japan including a trip to Tokyo in Japan
    • Action & Adventure including a trip to Bali, Indonesia
    • Tasty Food including a trip to Toscana in Italy
    • Vocal & Performance including a trip to South Africa
    • Backpack Photo Asia including a trip to Vietnam and Cambodia
    • Norwegian Culture Food & Language - discover the beauty of Western Norway
    • Golf including a trip to South Africa
    • Focus Europe including an interrail in Europe and a trip to Croatia including island hopping in the Adriatic
